Using professional whitening systems and custom-made whitening trays, we help patients achieve a brighter, more confident smile with predictable and long-lasting results.

How does teeth whitening work?

Most of us start out with sparkling white teeth.  Time, smoking, tea, coffee and red wine and cola are just a few of the things, which cause your teeth to yellow and discolour.

Teeth whitening is a process known as oxidation, any discolourations within the tooth will be lightened as oxygen gets into the enamel and the organic materials are broken down to remove the staining,  leaving teeth cleaner and brighter without damaging any of the tooth’s surface.

Is teeth whitening safe?

It is a genuinely safe and non-invasive treatment, which makes it the treatment of choice to improving one’s smile without doing very much at all. Numerous studies have shown that it is 100% safe to use on teeth, with no structural changes at all post-operatively. At Claremont Dental Practice, we offer in house (Zoom) teeth whitening in combination with a professional take-home kit. The in surgery teeth whitening is carried out by our hygienists, while you relax in the dental chair (takes approximately 90 minutes). This leaves you with whiter teeth immediately. We will also provide you with bespoke whitening trays and take-home professional whitening gel which is then to be used at home for 3-4 days, which further enhances the whitening result. The beauty of this treatment is that you can whiten for longer (additional gel required) if you want to go even whiter, or alternatively you can stop whenever you feel you are happy with the result, therefore always achieving the right result for you.

We genuinely enjoy whitening teeth at Claremont Dental Practice and we all have it done ourselves! When you come into see us we will assess your suitability for teeth whitening before proceeding with your treatment.
