Professional Teeth Whitening

Family & Specialist Dental Practice in Twickenham

At Claremont Dental Practice in St Margarets, Twickenham, we offer professional teeth whitening to safely brighten stained, discoloured and ageing teeth. Using professional whitening systems and custom-made whitening trays, we help patients achieve a brighter, more confident smile with predictable and long-lasting results.

How does teeth whitening work?

Most of us start out with sparkling white teeth.  Time, smoking, tea, coffee and red wine and cola are just a few of the things, which cause your teeth to yellow and discolour.

Teeth whitening is a process known as oxidation, any discolourations within the tooth will be lightened as oxygen gets into the enamel and the organic materials are broken down to remove the staining,  leaving teeth cleaner and brighter without damaging any of the tooth’s surface.

I cannot rate Lucia Palladino highly enough. I’ve had hygienist treatments with Lucia for the last 8 months or so and in that short period of time, the treatment has been so successful, I may be the first person ever to say I wanted to give my hygienist a hug!

Saw hygienist Namra, she was very thorough, yet patient with me as I am anxious. Very happy with treatment and care received.

I’ve been a patient here for many years and have complete trust in the team for their skills, range of services and attention to detail. I have moved a long way away from the surgery but have never considered changing dentists. Also a special mention to Molly on the reception desk. Molly is so friendly, attentive and always gives everyone a warm welcome. I have observed that she goes out of her way for everyone to make sure their needs and queries are met. In a wold where service is being more and more dehumanised, Molly does the exact opposite, and provides such a genuine, authentic human experience for everyone ..

I’ve just finished a course of dental treatment with Kirrit Johal and really pleased with the results. I’ve been with Claremont for over 20 years and have always found the front staff, nurses, and the dentists to be very friendly and professional. Highly recommended. 😊

Love Claremont practice, the dentists and hygienists are all excellent. I broke my tooth just after Christmas and they were able to arrange an emergency appointment to fix it. The admin is well managed with regular appointment reminders. The best thing of all is that they take NHS appointments. 100% recommend.

Don’t normally do this sort of thing - let alone for a trip to the dentist - but wanted to sing the praises for my hygienist Lucia today. Great job - and without the usual discomfort. Won’t go as far as saying I look forward to my next visit - but I know it’ll be fine with this hygienist.

Very efficient treatment by Ayshath (Hygienist) followed by routine examination with Dr. Johal. Happy to escape so lightly!

Is teeth whitening safe?

It is a genuinely safe and non-invasive treatment, which makes it the treatment of choice to improving one’s smile without doing very much at all. Numerous studies have shown that it is 100% safe to use on teeth, with no structural changes at all post-operatively. At Claremont Dental Practice, we offer in house (Zoom) teeth whitening in combination with a professional take-home kit. The in surgery teeth whitening is carried out by our hygienists, while you relax in the dental chair (takes approximately 90 minutes). This leaves you with whiter teeth immediately. We will also provide you with bespoke whitening trays and take-home professional whitening gel which is then to be used at home for 3-4 days, which further enhances the whitening result. The beauty of this treatment is that you can whiten for longer (additional gel required) if you want to go even whiter, or alternatively you can stop whenever you feel you are happy with the result, therefore always achieving the right result for you.

We genuinely enjoy whitening teeth at Claremont Dental Practice and we all have it done ourselves! When you come into see us we will assess your suitability for teeth whitening before proceeding with your treatment.
